Wow some of those large leaved Pipers look similar! It looks like a cross between Macropiper latifolium and Piper subpeltatum. That's a beautiful looking plant, hope I can get mine to look that good. Does it trail or is it one of the more upright plants - or both?

i used to grow this specimen before, it's a black awa, from hawai, s. prowse made it available to us, initialy (note, he does mainly brugmansias now though).

i had to soak the soil of this plant with pyrethrum (it came with gnats), and on top, kill all leaf pests, it came with, when purchased (bought from a person which has nothing to do with this site) .
it's indoors under artifical light atm, too cold outdoors.
