A shoplifter arrested at a St. Louis Walmart store Thursday was a carrying more than a few stolen goodies - she was lugging a portable meth lab.
The alarming discovery sparked an evacuation of the outlet, in the south of the Missouri city, the St Louis Post-Dispatch reported.
There were "hundreds" of people inside at the time - about 6:15pm - according to KTVI-TV.
A police spokesman said two people had been arrested and that a shoplifter, who was in custody, was carrying an "active meth lab." The drug-making devices are unstable and can explode.
According to Patch.com, the woman carrying the "shake and bake" lab was a 32-year-old from St. Louis' southern outskirts; more meth-making materials were discovered in her car, the Post-Dispatch said...
