Yo,

I think this is a field mushroom (Agaricus campestris).
Correct?

I would eat them... as long as they did'nt stain yellow.

Ha, I was only joshing about eating them without a second opinion.
No they didn't stain yellow (that would be Agaricus xanthodermus right?).

These mushrooms smell delicious. Will cook em up.

Yes, most likely if they stained yellow they'd be A. xanthodermus, although there is a chance they could be A. arvensis.

You'll know if you have A.x as soon as they hit the pan, they do NOT have a delicious aroma and just one mixed in with 10 A.campestris will ruin the whole batch.

I'm having real trouble finding fieldies this year. Anybody else funding them in abundance when I'm not?
