Fortunately not in australia yet .. but :

Technical people believe they can do this (block website Pirate Bay) overnight. It's an illegal business model and we need to make sure we protect customers from illegal business models.

What a load of bollocks.

What a wank.

Is there anything like this on TOR yet?, if not why not?

I'm not worried...they can't stop viruses. So how are they gonna stop the computer geeks from changing the format and bringing out another option.

I hate how they decide we the people need protection from, in this case, access to data.
Maybe the could fuck off and charge us less tax instead.

I'm sure pirate bay will be bak up an running in no time

They always are it's not the first time they've had trouble with the law

And like qualia said there's always gonna be other sites

the pirate bay is always the first place I go for torrents
And when it's down which it has been on and off a lot lately
I just use kick ass torrents

the ruling only counts for 4 service providers I think, and none of them are australian anyway. A fairly feeble effort to do anything towards stopping the site.

only when they change their business model will they eliminate piracy.

So, after blocking piratebay from several big ISP's the result is..... a 'record number' of visitors to the piratebay website.
Hah!
