Taken me 3 years to find and tune in to the right time for a good yield of
slippery jacks
Saffron milk caps
and various agaricus species.
(even think i found some truffles earlier photos to follow)
but for now,
I was wondering who has had experience pickling their own shrooms
or have a tried and tested recipe
that I can go and make up in advance and make the most of the coming season.
many thanks

Thanks optical.
Though joke or not, that myth needs putting to sleep.
Fresh shrooms in honey, is bullshit!
They go fkn rank, sugar helps the bad bacteria grow
and you end up with a jar of 'food poisoning'.
Perhaps cracker dry shrooms, rehydrated in sterilised honey
or packed under pressure..could work..but nah,
I can't stand shit myths stay alive bee gees style.

Sorry Mud, I certainly don't intend to spread an ill fated myth.
So on a serious note, this one actually looks really nice:

And I will refrain from commenting on pickles whilst pickled in the future.
