Bloody good effort, and apparently he grew meter long gourds before moving onto pumpkins.
These are his top tips:
Five tricks for a monster pumpkin
1. Alternate seaweed and fish fertiliser every three days.
2. Use calcium enhancer.
3. Slosh molasses over the leaves each feed.
4. Good seed and good soil.
5. Bury the vine to produce more roots.

I have been waiting for them to change colour as all of the giant ones that I have seen are orange but there is not a hint of orange they are all blue
On a positive note I am going to be able to supply friends and family with enough pumpkin to keep them going for some time. At this point I have about 10 pumpkins on my main (competition) vines and another five or so Kent pumpkins at the moment.
The vines have been hammered by powdery and dowdy mildew but they are still growing , flowering and setting new fruit
I will still measure and weigh the biggest pumpkin when I pick them but I would think I am going to get my ass kicked by most of you.
I only have a size 8 foot
