yeah Chile, that must rule I would love to see a large cluster of Copiapoas in the desert in person!

Bolivia and Argentina are also of interest to me - cacti wise. I'd love to see more photos of wild scops but I think there are not many, right?

LOL

I have memorized this quote from a wonderful Steve Martin film 'LA story'.

"...Nah, I couldn't ever be a female, I would play with my breasts all the time..."

which is very indicative of the male mentality and my tit fetish

so that girl in the photo you removed from your gallery was some random girl you photographed?

I do not require nor seek the respect of people on the forums. I have real life people who already respect me for who I am and the knowledge I have. The persona I have in person is much different than online.

The online things is usually about cliques and insincerity, pretending that trading with a person and communicating with them equates to a meaningful and valuable friendship.

You have an enthusiasm that is awesome, that will take you far. You have been abused because of your enthusiasm and willingness to speculate. If for example, someone treated MSS the way he treated you then he would shit himself and whine to moderators, and his groupies would attack. But this is a lot like highschool, maybe even junior high and you aren't one of the popular kids, but this thread is showing that being one of those pretentious douchebags isn't really something you or anyone should desire.

I've heard better things about you Teotz, than I have ever heard about 99% of the Nook members, not counting online ass kissing from groupies and other members of the same cliques. The nook is a lot like a sand covered dick, when you think about it.

Every time you rant about the nook I think to myself that you're just picking on the bad bits and ignoring the good bits. But the above analogy leaves no room to imagine any good bits at all :o .
Not that I agree as I kinda like the nook. It's the only other place I sometimes post on. I read edot twice a year too, but don't ever post there.
If Pacman had affected us as kids we'd be running around in dark rooms, munching pills and listening to repetitive music.

Well... some people might still consider a sandy dick to be good eye candy...
So i guess it isn't all bad!

Don't mind me, I've had bad experiences with the nook and the admin there.

My view is mine alone.

Boy does it show!

Hmmmm that's not a bad quote for a signature, isn't it?

even though you don't become friends when you trade with someone, but when someone sends you free stuff!!!! :P

Is it enough I'm fully dedicated to ethnobotany? Is it not enough that I'd do anything for the plants? Isn't it enough that I pour my time, my money, my heart and soul into this? Does the rest really matter? That's all I got to say.

Still early days Teotz with your biological clock still back in your early 20's, who knows one day you may find a nice plant man and settle down to have a few little plant hunters of your own.

of course it matters. life isn't about one thing, you can't just say "well i'm a dedicated ethnobotanist so that makes up for my other flaws". as rahli alludes, you're practically a rugrat anyway, you may find that ethnobotany is not your true calling in life.

Edited by ThunderIdeal, 10 June 2011 - 05:48 PM.

In Occidental theology, the word transcendent is used to mean outside of the world. In the East, it means outside of thought. To imagine that your definitions of your God have anything to do with that ultimate mystery is a form of sheer idolatry from this standpoint. Your God is good enough for you and mine’s good enough for me. A God, from this point of view, is merely a reflex of one’s ability to conceive of God. Since people have various abilities of this sort, they have various powers of apprehending God.

Why is this thread still alive? It surely has to be one of the most irrelvant threads to this forum.
Since we depend on an abundance of functioning ecosystems to cleanse our water, enrich our soil and manufacture the very air we breathe, biodiversity is clearly not an inheritance to be discarded carelessly. Edward O. Wilson 1992

Don’t believe all this crap you hear about primitive people and their lovely equilibrium with the environment. All societies disturbed the environment to the extent of their population and the technology available. They're the only two things that matter - population and the technology available.
