Pretty sure member SLYBACON is the person to ask when it comes to this - he offered kits recently. I will try and find the thread for you.

I will have some valuable information for you. I personally am more orientated towards sales in this venture but i have alot of technical support. I'll consult with the team and get back to you with a few questions of my own that will help me give you the best advice. My main tech guy is in darwin but gets back tonight so i should have some good advice to add to this topic this week.

-Pure sine wave is A/C current in high resolution. You cannot get A/C from a panel as these out put D/C.

-If you plan on making your own panels i would recommend you look long and hard into it as it will cost you alot of cash for little power.

To start a good upgradable system you will need -

- a good sine wave inverter

- A good battery bank of deep cycle batteries

- A suitable charging method with a current of at least 10% of the battery capacity

this is probably a good place to start your research........

edit....

howstuffworks.com is a good reference ;)
