Not a bad paper, but the Buchanan one was the best on Australian psilocybes. The Guzman/Watling work being the worst... Ray Watling made some collections of their 'delineated' species purely by location and without a scope.
Amazing how a couple of guys can come to this country for five minutes and describe more species of Psilocybe than most locals have been able to find EVER...
That being said the truth lies somewhere in between; SA Subaeruginosa differe macroscopically and microscopically more significantly than Ps.azurescens does from american Ps.cyanescens...
