dude picks a guitar. take it from me, he is bloody fast. i heard some ridiculous fact about petrucci playing 27 notes in a second or something, but you can actually see this for yourself and there is no legato or hitting different strings just all-out trem picking.
In Occidental theology, the word transcendent is used to mean outside of the world. In the East, it means outside of thought. To imagine that your definitions of your God have anything to do with that ultimate mystery is a form of sheer idolatry from this standpoint. Your God is good enough for you and mine’s good enough for me. A God, from this point of view, is merely a reflex of one’s ability to conceive of God. Since people have various abilities of this sort, they have various powers of apprehending God.

i'm usually up & watching the top 20 on Rage or Video hits, & it's usually pretty boring, but this tune has really been putting a smile on me dial.
the video's OK too.

JEL is a virtuoso of the digital sampler. Many hip-hop producers are expert at using the same tools he's mastered for in-studio production and composing pre-sequenced beats for playback, but few - if any - can match his talent for performing the work of an entire band, live, using only the micro-edited samples he chops into those machines.
Why shouldn't hip-hop beatmaking evolve to a point where the intricacy of a concert pianist is required for performance?

Can anybody point me to that I cannot find it searching for it.
A mind filled with thought, identified with its own perceptions, beholds the mere forms of this world.

Meshuggah...but this is F. thordendals side work 'Sol Niger Within' with drummer Morgan Agren, still very similar to Meshuggah even in the drumming.
