Entheongaia 2014 - CANCELLED!!

Recommended Posts

[admin: Please note that this event was cancelled on 26/04/2014]

EntheonGaia is a 4 day and 3 night convergence of like minds and tribes from across Australia and around the world who are gathering in Cairns to reconnect the shared vision of creating a space for the learning and facilitation of our wisdom, experiences and dreams for the future of our communities during the 2014 Queens B' Day long weekend .

The gathering will include various talks on some fascinating subjects and elements including presentations, workshops , performances, multimedia interactions and installations, Temazcal Mexican Sweat Lodge Ceremonies, grounded family space, outdoor cinema experience, eclectic market stalls and great music.

This is one event worth booking a holiday to Cairns for and not to be missed....

i'm pleased to hear this is going ahead for a second year!

in case anybody missed the comment last year, the man behind EGA (a similar but older event based in victoria) basically gave his endorsement to the crew of entheongaia.

dear entheon crew, please consider expanding your web promotion outside of facebook.

I've decided that photoshop can more accurately convey my feelings about this.

don't panic about my comment guys, i've just observed that some event promoters miss out on a (probably small) portion of attendees by thinking everybody is on facebook.

everybody is not on facebook, everybody will never be on facebook.

:)

best of luck everyone, i might even make it there myself.

It's a Lord of the Rings joke. I don't mind it up there..is the diplomatic answer :P

To be fair there are some places up there of great natural beauty, and there are some good folk here and there, of which I'm sure you are one. But in my experience, the vast majority of everything north of Noosa consists only of Bundy-drinking rednecks, tradies, oppressive heat and humidity, cane toads and sugarcane plantations. And the odd misguided backpacker haha...is the not-so-diplomatic answer

I've lived in Cairns and also near Mackay before, and I'm in no great rush to go back.

I went to the 2012 event. It was well worth atending and was a great success.

Any idea if it will be held at the same location?

hurray!

This was delightful last year. Im looking forward to heading up there again. It's the perfect excuse.

It might be nice if we organise a SAB meet at the event.. what do you folks think?

I'd like to meet all the interstate members in one place.

I think a sab meet would be cool, would love to meet some of you guys.. Doesn't seem to be quite as many like minded people up here as some places down south so would be great to meet the fellow sabers

so who might be going?

i envisage a shared SAB camp rather than scattered piddly camps. i'd consider bringing a trailer so we could have a big tarp-shelter for communal use. need at least one helper to erect such a thing and i wouldn't go to the effort unless it was to combine a few camps.

I'm considering it but it will likely be dependant on whether I can ride-share with someone. The creek at the site is worth the trip alone.

I hope to make it and do some talks and stuff. Quite a few people I know who went to the first are making an effort to come up again!

It's so typical that this event comes around right after I leave Cairns. Lived at Kewarra Beach for 10yrs left in 2012 :bootyshake: Can I change my mind and move back?
