id help....red catha?

Question

hi guys,

bought a couple of "red" catha from sab. one of them had 2 cuttings in it. one looked like it was a fresh new shoot....well thats what i thought as ive never grown it before.

The "young" one had a pinker/purple look to it with the leaves more styrated and in the last week has gone ballistic compared to the other two cuttings? the other two appear to have a waxier look to the leaves and are lighter green.

im holding the catha out to compare to the other one.

that is a red khat plant, not the tall amaranthus, but the khat in the foreground.
