Weed ID

Had a colleague send me this photo of a weed that popped up at his place. Doesnt look familiar to me, can anyone else ID it?

Complete noob guess here, is it a native frangipani, Hymenosporum flavum?

Another wild guess, but it kind of looks like a swan plant to me (Gomphocarpus sp.).

Let us know if those flowers swell into the telltale balloons.

Do you get Wanderer butterflies (we call them Monarchs) in Perth? The caterpillars absolutely love these plants.

we most certainly do i saw that, but being a "declared pest" is mildly concerning. Seems to be medicinal/edible too.
