if anyone is interested, here is a kind of 'extended version' of one of the old howling cloud tracks

piecing things together with field recordings as i work towards creating an "album" of music

any feedback very welcome

news update in the howling cloud camp...

got a track released on the latest New Weird Australia compilation, u can download or stream it for free here

http://newweirdaustralia.bandcamp.com/album/rural-regional-remote

also worth checking out many of their other free releases if you want to hear some new music. i've followed them for quite a while and am amazed with the high standard of music coming from the australian underground / experimental world.

love experimental comps. I used to be in contact with some ozzie noise-freek back at my tape trading days. He even released a tape there of my sounds.

Howling cloud material is great as always. did not have the time to check all though...

all the compilation is interesting, but I think I like your track most! me a noise - experimental fan

hey ajna

do you play the digderidoo in these recordings or its samples?

a friend of my fathers had brought him a present , he brought from oz!!! - an original digderidoo from a tree branch not a reed - but for years it was in our home and we didn't quite know what it was, the blow side was waxed and it even had a kit with more wax and some info, I remember hypothesising its an instrument when being quite young.

I have given this organ to a friend that knew how to play the didg now.... I hope he still plays it or has someone play it!

from all the didgeridoos I have tried playing, under the instructions of these friend of mine, that one, the biggest one, was the hardest. widest airhole too.... but air organs seem to be highlighted by some talent.

so far I am only good with melodica and some accordion experiments....

HEY, open to collaborations? I am very musically inclined these days / some weeks now....

willing to do both ambient psychedelic soundscapes like what you do and also more noisy stuffs

thanks fellas

yeah mutant i play the didj in that track, not sampled

big didj's do tend to be harder to play in my experience, there's generally less back-pressure, you have to force the breath harder and so it can be a bit exhausting.

i an definately open to colaborations, i'd love to throw some ideas back and forth with different musos...

however i must say at this point in time i am most likely going to be very slow at getting onto it

i've just moved house, so been spending a lot of time in the garden, building chicken runs etc...and my music making has been put on the backburner

just yersterday i finally set up a table with my recording gear on it, so hoping to get back into the swing of it all soon

i've got so many almost finished projects that i feel like i should be finalising those before i start much else...so in short, i would like to colaborate but dont hold your breath, i really should be getting some shit finished in the limited time i have for music at the moment. that said, u can def send me some stuff and i can sit on it and who knows, maybe it'll inspire something spontaneous...
