Cant use full editor

Recommended Posts

For some reason whenever I try to post something, it posts it a as one big block of words. It doesnt register my paragraphs and I dont seem to have access to the full editor, ie there isnt even a button for it. I had the same problem on ebay, some of the functions for attaching photos and stuff weren't even there. Ive tried using a different browser but no luck. Any suggestions.

Thanks

You're not running any java blockers like no-scipt or ad blockers etc by any chance ?

The formatting is handled by javascript so anything that blocks java will result in problems like you've detailed.

Yes I do run AdBlockPlus, I'll disable it and see if that works. Cheers Sally

Ok, disabled adblock plus, Instantly got heaps of ads show up. Re enabled ABP . Still cannot use full editor. I get an error

Warning unresponsive script.

And it wont let me post now. I have to go to 'more reply options' and post through that.

the fact it happens on all browsers is a bit confusing. otherwise I would have said to check what the script runtime is in

about:config

dom.max_script_run_time should be at least 20.

If it is all browsers then chances are it is a virus or antivirus problem.

Just checked on the support forums and apparently ABP is well know to cause this error.

Thanks Torsten, Im pretty much at my wits end now. I noticed one of the stores near me is having a 15% of all laptops sale this weekend so I might just have to bite the bullet and get myself a newie. The Laptop I have is a Toshiba Satellite that I bought in Canada back in the beginning 08. Maybe its just time to upgrade. Thanks for your help.
