simhanada Posted March 28, 2013 John Dies at the End Great comedy/horror with plenty of excellent weirdness. I was going to post a link to the trailer then remembered trailers suck balls. Too many of them give away too much. When did they become about trying to tell the whole story in two minutes? I generally only watch half of a trailer now so as not to ruin the film. anyways, here is the imdb page http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1783732/?ref_=sr_1
glimpse Posted April 7, 2013 'Branded' watched it earlier, really enjoyed it....cool original idea. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1368440/ would love to see the end play out in real life
SkyWalker Posted April 7, 2013 Can we include movies watched while in an altered state, because Tron and Lysergic Acid create quite an experience according to my sources
SkyWalker Posted April 7, 2013 I think its the bright lights and Daft Punk pumping every 10 seconds, movie is like a rave, lol

gtarman Posted April 12, 2013 I thought The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus was awesome (how could it not be, with Tom Waits playing the devil?)...although the chick hooking up with Colin Farrel's character made me feel slightly misogynistic haha
bℓσωηG Posted April 20, 2013 ''Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter... and Spring''was an interesting movie (subtitles) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0374546/

obtuse Posted April 24, 2013 Interesting films seen recently, not necessarily psychedelic, but certainly thought provoking: Looper Ruby Speaks Limitless Sound of my voice Moon Primer (may need to watch this a couple of times) The Fall (incredibly beautiful) Tree of life (but its a bit hard going in parts - becasue of the odd contrasts) Some classics not sure mentioned or not: Time Travelers Wife 12 Monkeys Siddharta (absolute classic for those Hesse heads :D) Steppenwolf (again Hesse) Awakenings lol That'll do for now, Ob.

qualia Posted April 29, 2013 (edited) ^^ i've seen that one, it's not bad. i quite like some of the korean cinema i've seen, chan wook park (oldboy) does some good stuff. fun fact: the Park surname was apparently founded by the korean King Hyeokgeose. save the green planet is pretty good Edited April 29, 2013 by qualia
qualia Posted April 29, 2013 i saw lincoln the other day, i thought it was a little boring but anything that blows smoke up the collective american arses has to be a winner, right?
obtuse Posted April 29, 2013 lol @ Qualia ... too right man! Saw australian film "Sleeping Beauty" the other night. wierd film, but i think quite possibly best australian film i've ever seen. Strangely surreal, with amazing long shots, and a refreshing lack of aussie culture for a film culture that normally seems to revel in itself. Im a big fan of surrealism and exploration of the sramge so im biased Cheers, Ob.
qualia Posted April 29, 2013 you might also like this film, i'll call it "quirky/weird romance" citizen dog (thailand)
