My metalwork lessons.

Recommended Posts

So, thought I might toss some of my work up here. As most of my last 3 years has been obtaining / making tools whilst I hone in exactly how my interests are going to merge in creative ways. I shall start of with some of the few pics i can find of my first works. The tools I used were an estwing chippy's hammer, a weights disk as anvil, a standard file, jewelers saw, cheap rotary tool buffer, and a K26 fire brick, and at the time, a dredfull butane "iroda" torch (not that good at all).

Below is a "stargate sg1" pendant. The size of a 5 cent piece and made entirely from 1.5mm sterling round wire.

The following is 2 photo's of a ring I made to match the pendant. Gents "stargate sg1" gents ring. 1.6mm (if i recall correctly) argentium silver sheet. I found, and still do find this metal to be a pain to work with. I much rather work with normal sterling or fine silver.
