Successful cultivation of Agaricus austrovinaceus

Recommended Posts

Hey folks - I collected a few wild specimens of what people around here call the 'rosy' or 'winecap' agaricus which we have deduced is actually Agaricus austrovinaceus. I cloned several and one took quite well and was transferred to a medium-sized bag of compost. When this colonised it was buried in a garden bed and in June 2014.

to my surprise after so long the bag fruited after heavy rain last week.

Schweet!
