Not a current photo.will update later.

This is my dog, "Killer". He is in his 17th- 18th year. I inherited him 16 years ago when my mum left this world. In his younger days he was very aggressive towards other dogs and protective of who ever had him on their lap.( there were never any injuries to other dogs or people). We think he is a Foxy cross Chihuahua. Being a cross breed, he has been very healthy and only ever been to the vet to get a few teeth pulled. Being 17 or 18, he has his good days and bad days. We love him. Care to share a pic of your dog?

Edit;I have been looking for the vaccination certificate all afternoon( first and only) just to try and work out killers age. In December 1992, killer was 5 months old ,so that makes him 18, turning 19 next July ,yeah?! Around 90 if he was human. He can still see and hear ,walk and pee.( not incontinent).

haha, Killer looks like an interesting dog.. bet he was a real character in his hay day.

Your bozzy is so cool Licka. you may find me up a tree in a ninja suit one night waiting to dog nap him :P

I find that unlike a lot of other dogs everyone has has such a unique and different looking face, kind of like a person does.

Shroomey, you dogs are some unusual hybrids :) they really show a lot of each breeds physical traits rather than a strong melding of both.

Remy looks like a Jack Russle wearing a Staffy costume :) hes cool as, he must be pretty hyper by nature?

Blackdog is unusual too, like a Staffy wearing a Heeler costume :) hehe.

FYI, I just agreed to buy the Staffy, he should be here on Friday!!!!

Here's my best mate. Remy.

His mother was a Heeler x Jack Russel and the father an English staffy.

He comes everywhere with me and is by far the funniest most intelligent dog out of the many weve had over the years. Thats not to say they weren't all great dogs cause they have been. I think he's about five right now.

Just chillin out back.

And poor old "black dog" had to be put down recently. She was 18. Never was the smartest of dogs but definitely had a great life.

Your dog looks scary mr.B.caapi, sounds like a nice cross!

This is Shaz, with her first litter ... unfortunately we couldn't keep any pups as we already had 2 dogs, a cat ,six guinea pigs, 7 ferrets and a budgie

She is red healer mostly, but I'm sure she has some bully in her as she is stocky, and maybe some blue healer.

She is the most anti social dog I've ever had but only with other dogs...When she was a pup she was attacked by three dogs and now she gets in first even if they are just being nice , no matter they be tiny or huge , shes a freak... but i loves her ,great gaurd dog!

A blue heeler x kelpie .I do regret not keeping a pup cos the male has since moved .

The ferrets are pets, but i have taken the girls out hunting a couple of times (apparently girls are better cos they are smaller and wont sit in the burrow chewin on slain rabbit) Im new to hunting lol, so havent caught anything yet.

I really need too find some good warrens away from trees and logs which make it hard to lay nets .... one day one day, mmm.... rabbit stew!

aww.... new buddy is soo cute!

Ah what a sad day . My old buddy , killer, has gone to the great dog kennel in the sky.sad.gif .He deteriorated over the last few weeks so i knew it was coming. A good innings,18 and a half years old. I try to remember the good times of his life. When he first came to our family, my mum put a watch around his neck as a collar and said that he was a watch dog, lol. He was so little that she carried him around in her cleavage. My tip to keep a pooch living a long life is to feed them unprocessed foods. Cooked and raw meats, pastas and rice. All the good stuff. Much better than the canned mush. Also, i believe the flea sprays and drops are pretty harmful. Try and go as natural as possible. Yeah, so good food and kind words are the key to a long and healthy life for your dog. RIP 'Killy pup' , miss ya already.

Oh no! RIP Killer :( Geez he had a good long run didn't he? Sounds like he was loved up the whole time :)

She's a Chinese Crested :) They sometimes have them in shelters in Aus. They're actually quite affectionate so it's like my dog acts like a cat and the cat acts like a dog.

Well its almost a year ago that 'Killer' died and my back yard has been dogless, so i thought it was about time to extend the family. Here is my new best friend....... 'Buddy'! ( there were many names I chose, but the majority rules, so he didn't get called 'cid, lol). He is a 7 week old Jack Russel pup and he is a real dag. We have only had him for 5 days and we are already attached to him. Yeah, he makes us laugh and smile . He's great. Dogs are such good company, they seem to be there when you need them. You can tell them anything and they wont judge you ,they wont abandoned you , they give love and ask for nothing in return . As i keep saying... dogs really are mans/womans/child's best friend. :)

One i thing i didn't miss though, not having a dog, was standing in dog crap!!!

So here's me Buddy.....

I love Jack Russels. We owned 2 working jack russels on a farm in dubbo. Excellent ratters. Very Loyal, but make sure he gets LOTS of excersise and socialising. They are Terriers to max and as such sometimes have ego problems and DA. That said a well socialised one can be very easy to handle. I own an AMSTAFF called cruze. He has been a much bigger task to train then all my other dogd but the rewards of my hard work and patients are paying off. Here is a recent pick of him winning after his last show.

Talking about Mans best friend....

If you can find it, there is an episode on BBC's Horizons about Dogs evolution with Humans. They have really choosen a good parter for survival and have evolved to serve this role. They can even do some things that apes cant do. Its an amazing watch, I have it on my hard drive and will send a copy to anyone who requests it. A must see for dog owners.

Also , please post a recent pick of Maya. I bet she is Huuuuuge now. EDIT- Andy your tooo..... actually all the pups should get a fresh pick up.Maybe one day a Dogs of SAB meet and plant swap.....

Your dog is handsome Slybacon, and it looks like he knows it . What was the ribbon for, like best in show or breed or what? Are you going to breed from him?

I looked for the BBC thing on Dog evolution with humans and could only come up with a 2 min clip, and an article? Is that what you were talking about? if there is a longer version, i would be intersted in it.
