got a nice look....is it super dried out or does it normally appear all tubee/bubbly?....I like it...don't know what it is.

The shape of the areoles and their placement on the top of each of the "bumps" as well as the little green thing coming out the top that looks kind of like a leaf is what's saying Austrocylindropuntia subulata to me.

Here's a couple of cuts of my harrisia martinii that I took a couple of days ago to use as graft stock in the near future. Pic for comparison. I think it looks quite different to OP's but I could certainly be wrong.
