Another globular ID

Question

I've had this for over 10 years, if I remember correctly. The main tip keeps splitting.

I think it's some sort of Mammillaria.

yup itsa mam, I've one just like it, & the label says M. Berardii, which doesnt appear to be a valid name.

The plant is very similar in looks to M. geminispina, which is probably what it really is.

But images on cactus art don't fit geminispina.

The closest looking one is M. compressa but the flowers look different than the one I have

hey philo, heres a pic of mine labeled M. berardii and right behind it is one labeled M geminispina

So yeah, it def isnt a geminispina....

Now all thats needed is for someone to edit Wiki to include M. berardii !!
