Recommended Posts

Just wondering if anyone would be interested in some propagules of this perennial ground nut with edible fruit(beans). Botanical name = Apios americana

native to nth America, don't think it is too widespread here in aus

if people are interested I'll get some pics posted

edit* grows well here in melbourne

Arrived today, thankyou. Do you think there would be any problems with planting them now (no frost where I am) - I just figure that if they have to be stored somewhere dark and damp anyway... or is that a bad idea?

I think it will be fine, I had some last year that popped up from some rhizomes that I missed when I was digging. They sat in the ground through winter in melb

Is this way too late to get one of these by any chance?
If it is that's cool. It looks like an incredible little plant.
