Toast, why is the mother in a pot and not in the ground? Do you need to be able to move it because of frost or something?

I'd have a look up in the hills around where u found the gold strain I'm sure I put some black strains up there as well.

The tipis are all the Brazilian SD seed [identified by letter]. No blacks. The only black I am certain of was over near the boundary fence below the chicken run. That tree fell over a couple of years ago and Paul accidentally cleaned up all of the suckers from there, so we have no established blacks. we have a few vines that are unidentified though, so they might be blacks.

Just a quick question ! Sorry if we are going off topic ! Do you notice any differences between the cielo and the black ? Are the extrafloral nectaries under the leaves the same color, for example ?

Thank you for the pictures, it is very interesting to dicover the propagating place of many of our plants (who doesn't have a SAB plant lol) !!!

The B. caapi 'Black' mother is potted as a display plant in the sales area. Its not frost sensitive.

As Torsten mentioned earlier, we lost the only other verified 'Black' after a tree fall.

We will be planting more when we get a chance.

I haven't noticed in differences in the morphology of the different strains.

I'll be sure to have a closer look in future though.

Yeah they're cranking. I'll grab some photos when I'm next up there.

I've added another 63 cacti to the webstore including a bunch a large cacti and a few newly listed E. peruviana such as 'Cactus Garage', 'KK 242', 'KK 338', 'David', 'Trent' and 'Jactus'.

Is there any information on the characteristics on the B. caapi 'Gold'? In terms of physical & psychic aspects is it more like Black or Thunder caapi or more like Yellow or Cielo?
