-RC- Posted June 10, 2015 Check this site out for a bit of insight into the whole 'hidden in plain sight' nature of mushroom iconography, specifically in the Americas. http://www.mushroomstone.com/ Does anybody have a link to share re similar iconography in the East and Egypt. Save me the search, because I'm lazy
obtuse Posted June 11, 2015 be careful with mushroom iconography. you can see things in art even though they may not be there. Gordon Wasson did this. seeing mushrooms where there were none. also the terrence mckenna bee shaman, archeologists dispute that there is any mushroom iconography implied. and that it was simply kat harrisons personal interpretation. -RC- Posted June 11, 2015 Yes, art is subjective I agree.
ThunderIdeal Posted June 11, 2015 can you believe some people have misinterpreted my avatar? if it looks like a mushroom and you can rule out penis and nuclear bomb it could well be a mushroom (of any kind) yet to read the article but seeing what you want to see goes both ways.
