2XB Posted June 24, 2015 Hello all; Recently www.shaman-australis.com/forum has been added to Fortiguards naughty list. My work has employed telstras web filtering service to make sure we are not using company resources for.... whatever...... It seems that telstra use fortiguard to do this... The shaman-australis.com.au has always been blocked as catoegory: 'drug use' which is clearly bullshit, but I was always able to use the forum :-). In the last week or so the forum has too been black listed as 'Alternative Beliefs'. I have no problem with my employer saying no unrelated internet useage, but it really irks me that this site has been deemed unacceptable by someone due to Alternative Beliefs... what the fuck??? I have been knocked back by looking up certain religions too, can't remember specifically, but recall the knock back... Anyway there isnt any real point to this thread other than maybe a discussion about this and maybe someone can shed some light on fortiguards process.. i.e. has someone complained about the site in general?? i doubt my work has submitted a request.. In this day and age censorship is pretty normal i guess.... Guess I am just having a bitch about my gripe ;-) p.s. feel free to de-rail, degrade and de-generate this thread all you want, totally cool with me!

DiscoStu Posted June 24, 2015 Alternative Beliefs Websites that provide information about or promote religions not specified in Traditional Religions or other unconventional, cultic, or folkloric beliefs and practices. Sites that promote or offer methods, means of instruction, or other resources to affect or influence real events through the use of spells, curses, magic powers, satanic or supernatural beings. oh dear god. goneski Posted June 24, 2015 So it's okay if you're a kiddie fiddling Catholic, but this site is blocked? Makes sense.. We actually sell Fortinet firewalls at work and have one. I've never tried browsing to SAB at work though.

2XB Posted July 1, 2015 At least I can still check the nook haha! I would have thought in this day we could not single people for alternative beliefs, for the sake of political correctness. Let alone ban access to such a 'belief' ... whatever it is.. Definitely a panty liner pimento! But gotta keep this job ;-) Does anyone know the process in which a website will be blacklisted??
