Slybacon Posted November 15, 2013 Am I missing something here, have we changed the way we embed media. Tried with BB Code Media and failed, tried quoting a video so I could see how others do it and failed. Can someone enlighten me here?
IndianDreaming Posted November 15, 2013 (edited) It costs $4.99 per video now, payable direct to my bank account I have a [ media ] then the url shared from youtube then [ /media ] <-- without the spaces in the square brackets... bogfrog Posted November 15, 2013 Hey it seems to be kinda erratic Slybacon. I never used to be able to embed videos, so would just add links, and then one day it just spontaneously started to work, but sometimes it will just come up with a link instead of embedding, and then a day later using the exact same approach embedding works fine. I'm not sure if its a situation caused by my device, YouTube, or the forum. Maybe try with a different vid and see if that makes a difference.
GoOnThen Posted November 15, 2013 I have always used the share button at you tube and copied and pasted the code. Cheers Got
Sallubrious Posted November 15, 2013 Yeah don't use the embed code, use the share option and copy and paste that link ( it is normally much shorter than the embed code) into the editor here as GOT explained.
gtarman Posted November 17, 2013 ^^ yep, that's been working for me now, although there was a little while when even that was a bit spotty. It's right under the video when you're watching it on youtube, just above the comments where it says "share". They've got a condensed URL, although I'm not sure why one link would work and not the other, seeing as they are both directing you to the same page. Great mysteries of the internet.
