a real Head Scratcher (indian hairbrush)

Question

I've had this plant dozens of years & thought it would be great knowing what it was.....In the ground it was 10-12' tall but only 2" wide max at the base & staying pretty much the same diameter. A stiff hard woody core. Flowers every year, numerous times, never any fruit.

Today I crossed it with a pink echinopsis, we'll see what happens

any ideas on what it could be?

"H. jusbertii is found in collections and is believed to be an inter-generic hybrid of H. pomanensis and Echinopsis eyriesii."
