Pach/Peru ID

Question

Will be adding this guy to the collection tomorrow. Very sexy. Is this a recognized Australian clone? Peru? Pachanoi? Will post more pics when I get it. Thanks for your help.

Thanks interbeing! Does it look like your short spines Peru?

I see some similarities, it looks more on the pachanoi side to me.

Does it have longer spines at the base?

Interbeing - I'm not sure, haven't seen it yet. Pick up tomorrow. I'll let you know.

Glaukus - yes from Victoria. Have you seen it before?

Looks similar to plants from Huancabamba to me.

Yeah I think so, I nearly bought a cut. I was too short on cash at the time.

Really nice plants. Here is the link if any if you are interested. I think I've snapped up most of this Peru/pach but he might have some mid cuts left. Seller is a very nice fellow! Psycho0, yowie, PC pach and the Peru/pach.

The curves remind me of a certain picture.

Let's call it Trichocereus Kardashianii

Awesome cuts, got 150cm of this myself along with some psycho0 and what he thinks might be Eileen.

Not exactly sure on genetics but I've just been calling it a pacharu

after receiving a cut of this ive got to say my opinion is that this is the same strain that they have growing at collectors corner in the show garden, the huge variegated specimen. I dont know if it has a clone name, but they sell it as peruvianus.

its the one they sell variegates of on ebay.

of course i could be wrong, just my 2 cents.

I'm unsure, here is a comparison. If anyone has a collectors corner Peru that would be nice to see.

I think it looks like the peruvianus YT sourced around '05 (from mother plants in south aus i assume) on bottom of pg 16 and top of 17 in the cactus gallery.

If the person selling this was on the forums or still is, it may be worth asking them who they sourced it from, or looking for their posts to solidify information instead of flying blind.
