planthelper Posted March 1, 2012 hI! a few pics of my piper betle. this one shows the flower a bit better. and now the betle nut, which comes from the areca catechu palm, watch out it's, explosive stuff, hehehe. sliced nuts, showing the beautyfull pattern, and the piper leaf, note the different color of both sides of the leaves. Shame that you can't grow that other Piper species where you live, I imagine it would flourish in those conditions. who is your avatar/picture of? Shame that you can't grow that other Piper species where you live, I imagine it would flourish in those conditions. who is your avatar/picture of? the nut's come from the botanical garden (i had permission). the piper plants, i got from a guy living in rockhampton, maybe they will survive my winters. i will take one plant indoors, and leave the other one outdoors, i will do the same with my areca catechu palm seedlings. the avatar is agent 86 from the old show get smart, the inventors of the mobile phone!
