0 bℓσωηG Posted March 14, 2010 looks like a fig, but i could be wrong..figs lose their leaves in winter nice bonsai if it is or are you thinking its a succulent of some sort?
0 Mt.B Posted March 14, 2010 I'm pretty sure it's a succulent.
0 ballzac Posted March 14, 2010 It looks very much like a Ficus, but I don't profess to have any authority on this. What makes you think it's a succulent?
0 Mt.B Posted March 14, 2010 (edited) What makes you think it's a succulent? By the way it feels. It doesn't feel woody. This could be due to it's size though. It's never pudded more branchs. New Season growth always comes from were the plant left off from the season before. Edited March 14, 2010 by Mt.B
0 bℓσωηG Posted March 14, 2010 does it bleed white sap when a leaf is taken off? ficus = fig by the way
0 dworx Posted March 14, 2010 Fig - looks like my black genoa?? leaf.
0 dworx Posted March 14, 2010 MMM but that bulbous trunk does make it look succulent, Figs are big on water though so maybe the small pot, and normal watering could do that, How often has it been repotted. Are the leaves a bit rough? If so I will stick with fig...lol
0 Mt.B Posted March 14, 2010 (edited) All this thinking about my plant has jolted my memory of where I bought it. I've emailed them. When or if they get back to me, do you want me to post the name or do people what to keep guessing? blowng, I'll do the dismember test hopefully tomorrow and get back to you. Dworx, watering is very infrequent, that I remember. It's probably why it's still alive Edited March 14, 2010 by Mt.B
