ID Help

Question

My best guess is acacia saligna.

However, the flowers on these seem to be enclosed in some kind of non-spherical casing while they form (See the first pic). The flowers on saligna's seem to form differently.

All of the branches on the ones that I found were green, including the trunk. Only dead branches were brown.

I've found them with heights ranging from 1m to 4m.

Unfortunately I couldn't get a full picture, as they blend in with the background...

It looks a little like some of our local plants Acacia iteaphylla (known as the Flinders Ranges Wattle)

but im usually wrong with my acacia ID's :blush: im sure someone here who is much better @ ID;s will ID this one quickly for ya (green bark stems & trunk im sure narrow it down)

mac's right. It's Acacia iteaphylla. It grows as a weed in W.A.
