Benzito Posted September 29, 2005 I can probably only give a lift to 2 ppl, 3 if you like squeeeezing in. (that said, I do have a Magna, it's not tiny) My partner will be with me, so I've only got whatever room is in the back seat, and that may not allow much room for luggage. So, probably 2 people. I haven't got any requests from anyone yet, so if you are between the Blue Mountains, and North NSW, and want a lift up there, let me know.

AndyAmine. Posted September 29, 2005 Rev, yep, I think the sheep-station camping site will be the best choice for such a large group, there are toilets and stuff there and paddocks close by. Also, only 15 mmins drive or less and your up near all the shorter and more pituresque walks with some long ones close by, the pinnacle lookout being one of the highlights. Wadjina, yeah its looking like mid-january, fingers crossed you can make it. I think the best idea would be to have 2 or 3 grouping/pickup points along the way so that we can join up as a convoy, starting in the Gold Coast (I can take 2 or 3 people), and then to byron to pick up the others as well as supplies, then onto Kyogle via lismore, stopping in Nimbin for brunch. other pickup points can be added as needed. Depending on the time we can then either Stay at one of the Kyogle pub's ($45 for a double I think it was, probabaly less for group bookings) for the night so we can get an earlyish start on the camp site so its not a hassle or done in a rush later on. Anyone who's late or misses the convoy can meet us at the camsite or if you cant find it, in kyogle and Ill come and pick you up. Here are some pictures from the border ranges and Ill post some more of my own later on along wiht a scanned copy of the broacher. Google images search of the border ranges, most of the skyline and highup shots are from the pinnacle lookout. www.tropicalnsw.com.au page for the border ranges. http://imagination.braininavat.net/albums/...ges/index.html? www.kyogleweb.com.au page for the Border Ranges [ 29. apothecary Posted September 30, 2005 I'm meant to be taking a break from the forums etc and all that entails (thanks everyone who pm'd me, I'm fine, just need some time to clear my head) so I know I shouldn't be posting, but this thread is an important one. quote: anyone interested in sydney meet Nov/Dec? Working on it Was trying to get one organised for when planthelper was about but I believe he's back up in his Eden Good to see everyone getting so into the idea of camping trip, can I make a suggestion that we try and finalise the dates no later than the end of October? This will make everyones life a lot easier as far as planning goes. Sounds alright Andy, definitely like the sound of the paddocks
AndyAmine. Posted September 30, 2005 Apoth, I didnt hear about your upcomming internet absence, I will miss you dearly.. I was thinking about a date lastnight and was hoping to speak to Benzito about it first but I think Saturday Jan 14 sounds the best bet. thats unless people have an issue with getting things ready on Friday 13th Jan which as we all know is bad luck. Other option is Jan 6th (to close to NYE?) and Jan 20th (to close to the end of holidays?)

AndyAmine. Posted October 1, 2005 I figure a week is a good length of time but of course people can come and go as they please.
