White trich seedling

It would appear i need to graft it for it to survive. It is just under a week old. How long do i have to graft it? When would be the best time to graft it, giving the highest chance of success?

Ive never had a variegated seedling.so im unsure. Nice one.  Maybe wait till its almost the diameter (at the scions widest) of the peres stock?

 

Being in Tas, it might be an idea to get it done well before the cold nights return and dormancy creeps in.
