Very interesting read

Hey all!

Learning about this in Botany at uni... I had never heard of it and it is incredibly interesting once you get your head around it!

Was happy to find some Haploid Gametophytes growing on the side of this plant.

Where are you studying botany? I did a few semesters at UNSW as part of my course.

Charles Sturt, I'm looking at carrying the units onto a degree semester 2 or in 2020 :)

Very cool - thanks for sharing! I also have some gametophytes growing in my cacti "takeaway tek". I had no idea cacti follow "Alternation of generations" in this way (unless the seeds I bought were contaminated somehow).
