I recently added a whole lot of horse manure and compost to a garden bed which subsequently attracted many many fruit flys.

Should i be worried about these until plants start to fruit? Will they "sting" leaves or will their larvae eat planted seeds?

Mate as far as I know fruit fly are only a problem for ripe or near ripe fruit.

Sweet, was hoping so.

Hopefully the soil will be nice and settled by then too
