MadHatter Posted May 20, 2018 (edited) Hi My first post as a new member so not sure if I'm posting correctly, kindly point me in the right direction if I'm not. Can anyone tell me what the growth on this Maidenii root is? Is it diseased? should I be worried? Edited May 20, 2018 by MadHatter

DualWieldRake Posted May 31, 2018 It's normal for plants in the Fabacae family, like Acacia. The bacteria causing the lump work in symbiosis with your plant, they take in atmospheric nitrogen This symbiosis may be influenced by N availability (i just read that on wikipedia), so it could be a signal that your soil N is relatively low (speculation)
waterboy 2.0 Posted May 31, 2018 Needs more root space ( pot bound). Pot it up bigger or even better bang it in ground. They also push out of the ground when root constrained in soil, such as in rock pockets ect.
