TheMooseZeus Posted April 5, 2018 So i'm up looking at the moon and i'm wondering how much sunlight does the moon give off and is any of it beneficial to plants? Could plants benefit from moonlight in any significant way? Keen to hear anyone's opinion on it <3 -Goodnight
freakazoid Posted April 6, 2018 Moonlight is in the ballpark of 10,000 to 20,000 times less bright than sunlight so they won't really exactly be photosynthesising much on even the mooniest of nights. Buuut, there are the odd plants that are quite sensitive to photoperiod, that is to say, things like the amount of flowering can actually be affected by even this teensy weency little piddly bit of light compared to absolute darkness. I don't know if that's a significant benefit, we're in mega-generalisation territory here....Nighty night.
