TheUpsideDown Posted March 2, 2018 Hey guys, new to SAB and sorta new to cactusing. I started collecting trichs in November and have come a long way thanks to the generosity of the community. Here are a few photos of some of my plants. Hope you enjoy and I look forward to learning with you all and maybe sharing some of the 3500 seeds I've got planted!
Inyan Posted March 3, 2018 I see your Clyde x LJ are the perfect size for grafting and judging by your grafted specimens... grafting is something you do very well or you had someone send you some nice grafted specimens. Great to see someone with such great taste in cacti just starting out. To say I'm a little envious of how fast you picked up your sweet tooth and good taste would be an understatement. You must have a natural aptitude for all things cacti.
TheUpsideDown Posted March 3, 2018 Thank you very much. I've got a lot of seeds that are around that size and I do plan to do some grafting. The pics I have posted of grafts were those sent to me, but I have had some recent success grafting. I've done several successful pereskiopsis grafts, a few slab grafts and some normal cutting grafts in rootstock. I've been lucky and have a lot to learn. I thought becoming active on the forum where the so many desireable clones were developed would be a great way to surround myself with people far smarter than I am.
Inyan Posted March 8, 2018 Don't short change yourself TheUpsideDown you clearly have some skills when it comes to picking out sweet specimens and already on the road grafting and growing your own from seed. You only weakness is the cacti as I see it. We are all still learning if we are truthful.
