Ethno memorabilia/ artefacts

Recommended Posts

Thought I’d start a thread where people can post photos of cool stuff related to ethnobotanicals.

I’ve got a few nice pieces but want to kick it off with this ‘Cigares De Joy’ shirt. CDJ was an Australian medical cannabis from the 1700’s. Funny thing is is that it was my dad’s, the straightest guy I’ve meet.

This is a beautiful smoking pipe I bought from Chavin Herbalists (http://chavinherbalists.com/). Highly recommended company that sources Trichocereus seed from across South America & returns a profit share to the communities whose ancestors first developed a connection to these amazing plants. Huan is an awesome guy as well

This is a really sexy stone rapè pipe. It’s a little difficult to use unfortunately, perhaps it’s based on facial dimensions of native South Americans.

Nice pipe Toast, yeah Huan is a lovely bloke with an amazing garden of rare treats.

I recently got an aya serving cup that I love thru old mate Flux.

Vine sections with chacruna grout, around a Mahogany cup.

Just the right size, for a nice strong brew.

Excellent topic toast.

Here's my box where my ethno treats live.

My didj which has guided me through some heavy and high times. Focus on the sound. I got it from Laddie Timbery, famous indigenous artist and direct descendant of Queen Emma Timbery.

Paintings and carvings are mine. It's been too long since I've just sat and played.

Do these count? P1010098.JPG

I still need to collect more cool things ethnotically but so far , as far as I can think of , this might be it for now.

Thanks for sharing guys.

Horus that’s a sexy cup mate, & your box is awesome Glaukus.

Horse I really like the mushroom head statue. It’s replicated from historical relics if I remember correctly?

I dunno mate it was this super ace girl in Canada who makes them from resin ... on etsy .. haven't been on there for a while now and a few computers since .. could go dig a link from archives if you want ?

as far as I recall she was studying hard at uni at the time just as a heads up ..

G'day mate by the way if I haven't greeted you before

something sure familiar about your avatar and it feels like i may have been learning from posts of that avatar header for maybe a decade or something .. by feel ..

This is how far you can take things with Caapi cross sections.

Not my Strat, but this guy takes custom orders.

So, in theory, you can harvest some vine, make a brew and bung it in the freezer.

Send this guy enough vine to do a guitar, which he sends back to you.

Then you can drink your brew and play the strat, vibrating the vine internally and externally in a medicinal loop.

Next level drinking !! A great plan.

Vine sections, chacruna grout, 24 carot gold fittings.

Wow that's absolutely gorgeous Horus!

And what a cool guy with awesome skilliery too..

I wonder how viable the other species af aya are for building material? , imagining a guitar in each ...

Jackson kelly in anisopetala for some deep dark heavy powerchuggs

JEM 777 in white yage /sp' for some steve vai licks

Hamer slammer in muricata for 'halen pick sweeps and pick harmonic squeals

Herman li sig in grey/tetrapterys for the unattainable impossible sounding videogame licks..

and could probably go on .. but really need to experience them to get a real clue.. maybe soon too.

Nice little collection you've got there, may I ask where you acquired the wooden shrooms? I've also always wanted one of those shroom head stones after seeing the real deal in multiple books. I attempted to make my own using clay but they didn't turn out so well haha. I'll hit up the etsy store owner and see if they're planning on making more
