Dicko Posted November 29, 2017 Spewing I lost a chunk of my future garden last night, oh the carnage... the horror.... lol I had a rather busy day and afternoon and ended up forgetting to put my plants back in the greenhouse for the night, so there they sat out the front of my place after having a nice day in the sun only to have the wildlife come and devour them. Amongst the casualties were: Chillies Morning glories Sida rhombifolia 1 rooted sceletium cut An apple seedling Hawaiian baby woodrose (will survive, they only had a small nibble) My own fault I know but still pretty spewing about it... Who do they think they are, no respect I tells ya!
DiscoStu Posted November 29, 2017 (edited) i like the possums, they're great little garbage disposals but yeah, they do take a liking to certain plants. i had some heimia gifted to me but I had no place to put them other than on the ground and i came out one morning just to see them stripped bare. they didn't recover edit: for some reason they dont like tomatoes though Edited November 29, 2017 by DiscoStu possums don't like tomatoes

waterboy 2.0 Posted November 30, 2017 (edited) If it's dry enough brush tails will chew on tomato foliage hard if they are struggling too get green pick and can get at them I've found. The smell usually deters them and is a last resort I've also learnt soon is now dicko when it comes to browsing animal control If you've thought of it, the animals are laying in wait, if not already checking. Deer provide a few challenges... A fckn bird was last year's challenge though,no doubting the intelligence that one had... Them animals can just break your heart feasting on your efforts... Lol... Once I thought I was gonna have a stroke or psychotic break after a breach Edited November 30, 2017 by waterboy 2.0
