Acacia longifolia

I was flicking thru one of my reference books (The Toxic Plants of Western Australia, Gardner & Bennetts 1956)

 

One of the appendices is titled "Plants capable of yielding amounts of HCN dangerous to animals"

 

Second on the list is Acacia longifolia, along with a bunch of other natives.

 

How interesting :)
