i think the re-pot was just the ticket

.... so perhaps they would like reg strength chempak#2 high nitrogen feed every so often then after all?

time will tell I guess..

- I think if I aim to feed them every weekend ,....and well, see what happens

well I couldn't resist feeding them again already seeing as they've responded so early to the last blast -

only this time with chempak#3 'fully balanced'

..and I think another re-pot might give a better ticket in the near future, perhaps a return ticket or all day pass?

Those look so fat and healthy, are they pruned/cuttings or did they come out of the seed like that?

If i want fat Peganum like that do i neccesarily need a floodlight or can i just feed them some secret super juice like you do?

i haven't fed them anything other than chempak fertz, they do have a bit of john innes #3 soil though in the mix...

2017-05-17 20.10.46.jpg

i took some pics earlier today of them in their new home on the sunniest windowsill tho

2017-05-17 20.10.46.jpg

.. they get a bit of pink light now from behind the rainforest box too when i switch it on (overcast days)

2017-05-17 20.08.47.jpg

i haven't pruned any of them ... some are slower developers than others...

the LEDs used back then were 6000k cheapo floodlights were about £11 each but are now about 15 i think last time i checked ..

give us a pm if you want a link to them ... they don't come with a plug but do have 3 wires,

to be honest duel wield , i dnno .... i wish i could answer but all i got is details of what i did and ive recorded it all

except a few times where i moved the pot from the windowsill back to the tank before they got too big ,,, and that was because it wasnt deemed threadworthy just to post "moved pot from tank to windowsill/vice versa"

figured I'd order an ounce more of these seed and sow en masse outdoor when they arrive...

indoor ones reached 11" at the tallest today..

I decided to give them just regular water just in case feeding accumulates something that may be unforseeably unwanted

Damn those are some nice plants Thunder! Very well done! Always love to see ethnobotanicals growing under LED as well since that's what I'm running too.

For some reason I can't get any harmala seeds to germinate, I tried some from a couple different sources, even tried halo-priming since I read an article about it working well with syrian rue but always no dice...

I guess since the seeds are sold mostly for consumption around here most vendors must have old and badly stored seeds, but I don't know, I heard they can stay viable for quite a while. Any tips?

Thanks MeanGreen and welcome to SAB !!!!

pm'd with seed source

no tips on storage I'm afraid tho... , the ones I stored were dead by the time I tried them ...

one of our fave SABers Auxin mentions they're viable on another forum which I linked in earlier in the thread but that's the only clue I found on that score mate ..

Anyhow hope you enjoy the forum forever and glad it's floatn your boat so far!

well some of the outdoor sowing seed (not many) have actually germinated, and quite recently by the looks of it

- good ole sluggo for snails and nematodes for slugs? - perhaps :D - maybe just the temperature of june combined with the very light watering they've had?

I find these to be similar to SallyD.  Love will kill them .  At least where I am anyway.

Lost all transplants a while back and outdoor germinates didn't do much but I did find one stray in a tricho pot an hour ago or so so gna see if it will allow my moving it to it's own pot and trying out the dry tank prop again..

... and probably try that project again with some fresh seed but maybe not bother putting them in the ground I reckon..

and maybe just divide into 1-4 per 11 litre tricho pot with high ratio kitty littered cactus mix.
