The Clam Posted February 18, 2017 One, I have a mixture of a bunch of different trichocereus cacti between pach, peru icarosdna, juul's giant and one called magnus (can someone tell me what that is, I have yet to hear of it) and I was wondering if anyone has some tips to identify them from each other as they grow. Two, does anyone have some extra pure pachanoi seeds with good genetics to spare? I haven't been able to afford any and figured I would ask.

sagiXsagi Posted February 25, 2017 for a more serious answer, welcome to the forums you hit the centre - and I am drunk again - you're lucky my friend!! (it even rhymes!) fact 1: some people believe pachanoi/pevuvianus cluster in the trichos a single species. fact 2: some people seemed to believe trichocereus should be merged as a genus with echinopsis and some follow that it might be more easy to think of what people regard as, and not any pure species... ecuadorian pachanoi would be one candidate for a pachanoi phenotype. KK339 is a good batch it seems , well when KK339 seed turnt up to be really pachanoi .... NZ pachanoi also seems to be a similar so yeah those are the more typical pachs I have grown, I am sure there are lots of other strains in my experience, europe, zone 9, pachanoi is green and only seldom a bit glaucus. areoles smal growth fast peruvianus and macrogonus seem to lots more glaucus have different areoles, rib structure etc and are slower growers cheers
