Northern Gnome Posted August 30, 2004 I used to think it was a good thing that republicans and democrates were at odds with one another to keep each party in line so that either party would not do anything too crazy, now I think that both parties are looney. Something needs to change, but how?
gomaos Posted August 30, 2004 Which party is MORE right-winged, nationalist, faschist, against the poor, pro racism, PRO-WAR, anti-drug etc.? definitely the republicans... I don't know where the problem to make a decision is... Could it be that Americans have a huge Ego-problem as a nation? I always thought only stupid hank-Hill-like rednecks with closed minds voted for Bush...? [ 30. August 2004, 11:42: Message edited by: gomaos ]
alucinare Posted August 30, 2004 What an amusingly intersting article. Perhaps the guy has a point there. However each major party is almost equally as bad as each other in screwing the American public up the arse right? I mean each party has support from some corporate entity wanting some favour to increase their profit, it just the company who changes.
gomaos Posted August 30, 2004 there's evil, and there's lesser evil "good" never wins the election so go for lesser evil [ 30. August 2004, 13:12: Message edited by: gomaos ]
Flip Posted September 1, 2004 The foundation of the Military, Industrial, Congressional Complex set in place after WW II is.... "money" To even get the word out as a viable choice in the election (that may be miscounted) you have to make so many deals with different "special interests" for money and support that by the end of it. Any president is not "for the people" but actually working for special and self interests. at least since reagan. Thats a major part of the problem. Both parties require the funding of those with cash in order to run the advertisements that will enable one to out slander the other or to pull some dirty trick put into effect by your underlings and "friends". ramon Posted September 1, 2004 As far as this coming American election is concerned I don't think it really maters who wins. They sound both the same to me , with one being smarter then the other. I actually want Bush to win now. America will continue on the same path so I think it is better to have a spokesman in charge who is incompetant. This way the world and the American people get to see what sort of agenda really drive their country. Also I would like to see Bush impeached and unfortunately for that he has to win again
gomaos Posted September 1, 2004 I hate Bush.(and his father) i want him put away in a mental institution where he belongs. I want the democrats to win because the whole world will be better off. if Bush wins again, I forecast nuclear holocaust within the next few years.
Torsten Posted September 1, 2004 Ummm, Ramon - so do you want Howard to win also?? I fully see your perspective of this, but I think it's a dangerous one. I think the 'collapse' is inevitable, regardless of whether the world has to suffer an extreme for another 4 years, or a moderate for 10. I don't think the end will come from the outside anyway, but from the inside - and that takes time.

Zu Posted September 1, 2004 gomaos: I don't think it's crap. not at all. I was just kidding, Gomaos The point being that if you're going to get an "evil" anyway you may as well get a Great Old One (it's an HP Lovecraft reference). [ 01. gomaos Posted September 1, 2004 I knew that... I drank my lovecraft and my poe with my mother's milk... or so... well when I was 15 I read all that stuff... still read it from time to time... on one of my Salvia experiences (when it was still legal) I actually "became" Ctuluh myself.... narayan Posted September 2, 2004 I have no doubts that george bush will get back into office. He learnt from the last election that he can rig the elections so whats stopping him from doing it again? The american people are manipulated by the media and governement into believing that their country is the greatest in the world and that they have somehow found out how to create a utopian society and they must convert the rest of the world to there ways. I wonder how many americans know that american banks launder hundreds of billions of dollars in drug money each year http://www.fromthewilderness.com/free/econ...3101_banks.html Or that some of the alledged hijackers on 9/11 are still alive http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/middle_ea...ast/1559151.stm Or that the bush government is planning on introducing a second patriot act http://www.publicintegrity.org/dtaweb/repo...&L3=0&L4=0&L5=0 I hope everyone knows how to talk in doublespeak [ 01. ramon Posted September 2, 2004 Ummm, Ramon - so do you want Howard to win also?? Hell no I don't want "Honest" John to win. When I think of American politics I am swayed by what might be best for the world not what is best for America. The only place I wish to see Howard is in the dock of the international court. For commiting the worst war crime of the lot. Starting a war. Could happen faster then we might think if the huge spending on defence continues to grow and the country effectively bankrupts itself. Machine Elf Posted September 2, 2004 Ramon wrote: > Thereby allowing the republicans to do away with > welfare Saw on an American news show last night, interviews with Republican reps at the convention in New York. When asked about the growing unemployment lines under Bush, one rep said "I don't care how long the unemployment lines are...if they've got a problem with the length of the line they should get out and find themselves a job". Enough said really... Belfy
gomaos Posted September 2, 2004 "I don't care how long the unemployment lines are...if they've got a problem with the length of the line they should get out and find themselves a job". yeah fck all those reps, fck them to hell, Mr Governator "Arnold" included... saw him last night on tv, putting on his "movie charme" and telling the people to vote for the devil... I can't believe I ever liked him... there was no word about kerry, only Bush all the time... Bush has the majority of the media behind him... and most people are too dumb to see through media brainwashing... too dumb, or they don't care, and think about their own ass only. Machine Elf Posted September 3, 2004 For anyone that's a little sick of the dualist left versus right, try mapping yourself on the Political Compass. Looks like I'd be happy cracking open a beer with Gandhi. Much more preferable than that mob up the right hand side of the map IMO. Belfy
