0 godless Posted September 23, 2016 Polaskia? what does the red tinge around the aeroles mean?
0 Strontium Dawg Posted September 23, 2016 I think it might be myrtillocactus geometrizans, but variegated. They get that red/maroon around the areoles when in full sun when they're young. Nice plant!
0 godless Posted September 24, 2016 (edited) cheers mate, thanks for the reply, much appreciated..im still on the fence though, leaning towards polaskia..cant say ive had much experience with myrtillo seedlings but older plants have much thicker spines than what im seeing here. The red tinge does seem to match up with polaskia, based only on my google searches..picked this baby up one day for 8$, about 10cm tall, was just in the mix with everything else, no tag. Id be over the moon if it was a myrtillo. at least we know its not a trich now. Edited September 24, 2016 by godless
0 theuserformallyknownasd00d Posted October 7, 2016 I'd say Cactus trademeacutheymanii na Polaskia based on what I have here as polaskia amd blue myrt can def see how you'd be tricked by blue myrt
