Everyone is talking about him?

He is an anti-trump ploy by Republican insiders, a former CIA and former Goldman Sachs Mormon, presumably.

OK, so maybe not everyone - maybe it's my poor choice of reading material, but I've seen 3 articles on him in the past few days - at least one academic outlining the outlandishly unlikely circumstances under which he might steal the presidency from both Trump and Clinton. If I've got this right, McMullin needs to win in Utah (6 EC votes), and then Clinton and Trump need to both fall short of 270, then the House votes on who they want - or something like that. Sounds complicated. In this specific case there's a conspiracy of politics academics trying to get airtime by making crazy predictions (if nothing else).

I'd agree it's total side-show though.

It does illustrate the flaws of an unaccountable electoral college and if im not mistaken there are many examples in history of electors voting independently.

Just one of the possible ways voters can lose their voice.

Gary Johnson has been a dismal failure compared to his predecessor but from what ive seen jill stein has carried herself well.  I would be surprised if she only takes two percent of the popular vote.  This isnt an endorsement though, she hasnt touched on any of the serious issues like Trump has IMO.  I reiterate that Trump is the last best only hope to turn things around but I also reiterate that he isnt a wizard and probably cant sufficiently alter the nations trajectory quickly enough to prevent disaster.

Like climate change, police demilitarisation, foreign policy (i.e. war), education (and debt), and employment? I'd say she's done an incomparably better job of approaching the serious issues than Trump, and with discussions of policy rather than just bombast and theatre.

Of course you would think that, I mean shes going to have a productive climate friendly economy with a minimum wage.  socialist paradise if I ever heard  one.

She hasnt had to bombast her way through gruelling primaries, hostile media or backstabbing allies

Fwiw she seems a better candidate than any of the usual pickings as well as Johnson and Sanders.

I dont even think its a bad thing, but you know..  typically as far as everyone being equally poor liberals draw the line at theirself, but greens usually have a kind of possessed integrity when it comes the environment.... dont they?

Check this!  I found a likeable youtube commentator on americas screeching left.  Stefan, Milo, PJW, I dont enjoy listening to any of them. this guy, lets just call him some black guy, doesnt grate on me but says what needs to be said.

I already posted this incident but this video is better

Milo ^ is a gay anti sjw crusader and one of the early victims of twitter's attempts to silence popular trump-supporting twitterers

Actually I cant remember the exact reason he was censored but as you see he isnt PC and he has a decent following.

Milo grudgingly gave him "the economy is better now", that could be debated and it almost looked like Milo just didnt want to go there.

Little known fact:  the death of the former owner of breitbart, (yes he was Jewish, all US media moguls are, even breitbart) is considered suspicious by some.

yeah, i don't know much about him but he's clearly a troll extraordinaire & i appreciate him telling it more or less like it is..  not that i agree with everything he says.. i'm sure he doesn't necessarily agree with everything he says either but he's stirring the pot in a way thats pretty damn important in these schizophrenic times..

From my perspective much of the 'fact' and commentry that Trumpers rely on seems sketchy at best, and utterly ridiculous at worst.

It seems the only places they get their news from are those that support Trump and say he's awesome and he's going to win etc. And at the same time spruik all sorts of conspiracy theories that Trumpers feed off like some sort of addiction.

I'm  just fascinated to know how they will react to a likely loss for their exalted demigod. Will they immortalise him forever or dump him like yesterday's toilet paper.

More importantly will they accept the outcome and unify as a nation, or fall back on that whole 'rigged election' BS.

8 years the republicans have divided the nation, will they ever stop being a cancer to their own people?

I'm not trolling you Thunder  (or anyone) just putting out some food for thought. And I know we don't want anything sugarcoated here so I'm just giving it as straight as anyone else.

the whole thing seems like a big twisted joke that nobody gets..  kind of like the human condition in general..

i don't even know why i am in this thread i don't support anyone as president.

on the other hand i find it quite funny how so called left wing liberals have been duped into vehemently supporting a hugely sinister status quo that they themselves have for so long apparently despised..  i think Milo has a point in that Trump is in many ways a direct result of, a reaction to & therefore basically a creation of far left PC movement..

Trump as president is a twisted thought but he's trolling the system better than anyone else seems capable of in these times..  & for all the binary minded folks..  no, i don't think Trump is the bees knees.  He does seem to be a destructive force & there are some very large structures in the world that need demolishing..  if thats the way it goes down then there will most definitely be some serious fallout but at least its interesting..

But don't anyone take my opinion seriously.  i don't know what i'm talking about.  i find it a better use of my time to prepare my self for the chaos thats only just beginning..  we're living in times of huge change that no one is capable of predicting..

Good point(s) Paradox. We all agree on many core principals really, but differ on how to proceed.

IMO change from the inside out seems a better choice than random chaos/ destruction and allowing China and Russia to take over the world. Look at their record on human rights issues alone.

And just remember how much damage one bad president can cause (Bush). A loose cannon at the helm is NEVER a good idea.

well the way i see it, as horrific as it is, epic chaos & destruction in some form or another is inevitable considering the human situation on this planet.  China & Russia are taking over the world whether we like it or not & positive change rarely if ever comes from the inside out in politics..

Not to glorify Trump in any way but thats precisely what is so scary about Hillary.  She may not be a 'loose canon' as such but she is a deeply disturbing reptilian queen if ever there was one.

The FIB (that was a GTA joke) has dropped the case against satan, so now we can rest assured the opinion polls will show a decisive swing back to favour her in the next day or so. They'll be rolling the propaganda off the printing presses right now and preparing the fox spiel for the final beat up/mind implant.

I'd almost expect hilary to be seen with a U.S flag wrapped around her today or tomorrow.

I dont really believe it myself, which should be obvious..

..But it occurs to me that this election woukd be the ultimate embodiment of NWO Hegelian dialect..

..Especially coming at a time when a incredibly painful collapse is imminent..

The question is what despicable bullshit is the 'resolution' or 'synthesis' of these colliding polarities, lets call them, broadly speaking, globalism and populism..

What manifold despicable bullshit will they have gone to all this effort to implement?

Wow it's really blowing up now. Didn't expect another twist so polar this close to the election.

Even if Clinton wins I can't see her taking back congress. I think Trump has done enough to hold it.

Trump's absolutely mesmorising on the stump, he has a real gift for influencing people. He could sell ice to the Eskimos that guy...

Well, here is a picture of trumps fifth rally for the day in democrat Territory.  There will be more on the street who couldn't fit in the venue.
