Don't get me wrong Thunder Im not attacking you personally, I'm just pointing out that I think he should be judged on how he performs at making America great again.

Blaming the media and some impending economic crisis is not going to wash for someone who's supposedly able to shake up Washington and deliver grand/transformational results for the country.

He has both houses and a mandate to run loose. If he can't deliver on his grand promises with a hand like that, he should be judged accordingly, not appologised for.

Like hashslingr said how else would you put a measure on his success, or will you just defend him even if he's a complete disaster.

Holy shit thunder, that cracked me up! :-)

.

.

yo @Halcyon Daze, what up brother with the Clinton love???

Make america great again is a slogan man, you cant judge a presidents performance on whether a slogan will be implemented can you??

The exciting thing for me is that the American people have NOT voted Clinton! That is the change, that is the shake up- the grand transformation has already begun :-)

Trump is the catalyst, he may be a disaster, as with his predecessors, but try and see what this really means. The people are fed up! Looking straight through tainted media allegations of racism, sexsism blah blah blah, they have voted for trump!!!

and... he's not gonna build a wall dude :-)

Nuance.

N.  Something rarely seen in internet discourse.

Trump is evil!

Clinton is evil!

Trump will save the world!

Trump will destroy the world!

Nobody really knows what's going to happen next, the future is too hard to predict.  This is all idle speculation and opinion pieces.

I'd like everyone to go read some of Herbet Simon's work on bounded rationality.

Among his stated priorities is a ten point plan on immigration which includes building a wall.

Obama promised to bring the troops home before he was elected and he sent more almost straight after he was sworn in.

I think it's taken for granted that promises made while campaigning are almost always BS. I can't see Trump being too much different. It's the same everywhere, for politicians they are like white lies that don't matter to anyone. I see it as a verbal contract with the electorate and we should be able sue the bastards by class action if they renege on such promises.

Trump's been in meetings with richard haas and it seems like he may be the advisor on foreign policy for the trump government. If that happens most of what he said will never eventuate. Haas is a rockerfella installed puppet pushing hard for globalisation through the CFR and the UN. Apparently trump thinks he's a great bloke.

This is a rather old story no?  im not saying it should be disregarded but general Flynn has been in trumps ear for a while now and could be part of his cabinet.  Flynn was among several pushed out of the military upper echelon by the  now outgoing administration for voicing dissent, thats how I can be fairly certain he is a voice of reason (also considering what he has said, both directly and vicariously through Trump).

I may as well pre-empt any reaction when he appoint mnuchin treasurer too.  yes he is Goldman Sachs, yes its disturbing, yes it is utterly necessary to use one of these competent slimeballs.  he has never made any bones about the slime he puts in charge of his money.  the situation bears scrutiny.

Let us not descend into hysterics every time Trump is spotted with a slime.  he is a politician now, after all.

Anyway the election is over, additional comments from me will be in the president's thread.  we never did quite get to all hold hands in a giant circle with a rainbow overhead.  so sad.  liberals should seek greener pastures in Europe which hasnt yet suffered a voter backlash.

It's a slogan he chose to run by, and he hid behind it instead of having the kind of serious policy discussions you'd expect of a nation that self-proclaims to be the "leader of the free world." A lot of Trump appeal was what people perceived as his "no bullshit" approach. With Clinton you could see on her that she was putting on a fake smile, telling lies or quarter-truths, being manipulative. Trump's bombast covered that up. His willingness to put himself out there and make stupid and provocative statements, to be wrong about things, was part of what made people believe he was being authentic. Now we wait and see if he can live up to the standards he's said he can and achieve the goals he's set for himself. Or whether he's taken advantage of his supporters' confidence, and hoodwinked desperate people into believing he is williing and able to do something about their situation. So yeh, I think you can judge a president's performance on the promises they make in their campaign, no matter how inane they might be.

I seem to recall Republicans forever ripping Obama over not being able to bring 'change' even though it was they themselves blocking anything and everything in congress.

Anyway, I'd love a non-establisment prez for sure, but Trump ain't non establishment, nor is he fit to govern another human being, let alone an entire country.

He will have no one else to blame if he sends the country backwards.

IMO he only won by making people hate Clinton more than they hated him. And prolly paid for that FBI comment in cold hard Bullion.

A master manipulator if I've ever seen one.

^  I read a similar self-rebuke today

http://www.cbsnews.com/news/commentary-the-unbearable-smugness-of-the-press-presidential-election-2016/

What to make of?  I haven't decided if this is genuine or what is going on.  is this idea propagating throughout media?  is it essentially an artificial backpedal "sorry we were total liars, it wasnt on purpose, continue to eat the garbage we churn out, actually we're good, responsible people"

Look at this:  morning Joe is the guy talking, only talking head worth listening to on the whole problem.  the thing is, ive never seen him talk like that;  when he calls out his Co anchors that isnt what he sounds like (feigned  newfound humility) he can dish it out, but this is fake!  not to mention how misleading his words are.. Putting lipstick on a pig or what?

Im not buying this remorse, this staged navel gazing.  its an attempt to retain credibility.

Or is it a case of virtue signalling to the victors?  im sure some of the pro hillary BS can be explained that way.

So this didnt go away its called pizzagate and is the subject of a massive citizen investigation which began with puzzling podesta emails and was today booted from reddit.

For anyone interestes their new HQ is https://voat.co/v/pizzagate

Apparently the lead about the Kim Noble exhibition (which would be extremely compelling) is untrue but there is plenty of strange circumstances particularly around Tony who you must admit has an awful countenance.

So the jill stein recount ploy aims to instigate manual recounts which will strugglw to be completed before the electors convene.. which would likely mean the electors fromnthose states would be asked to sit out dropping Trump below 260, throwing doubt on his victory's legitimacy.  its a good ploy.

Re: pizzagate I think it has legs, nothing solid enough yet to warrant taking up by a serious media outlet at a time when MSM is trying to label as "fake news" basically anything that isnt msm, including Ron Paul, Paul craig Roberts and zerohedge.  it isn't working as their "propornot" list literally gave the public a portal to viable news lol. interest in MSM is fading.  I continue to monitor changes with great interest.  watch for pizzagate to break in coming months.

Seriously the ALP sent goons to smash up signs belonging to Bernie Sanders' competitors

So sad yet so funny

They should be held to account by the Australian media and voters, I mean, I dont know the full details but its pathetic and sad for any political party to engage in this kind of behaviour.

The sad part is that people like that are the next generation of politicians here in OZ. Every university in the country is being used to groom people like that to be our future leaders.

People should be gaoled over that.

Dick Smith for PM - fuck the lot of these corrupt bastards pulling the strings.
