hypnotoad Posted July 10, 2016 4 of them popped up in the vege patch within about 2 cm of each other. Leads me to beleive that they're from either a fruit I've thrown down or seed trays I've given up on.

0 nothinghead Posted July 10, 2016 Dig down and look at the seed to check if it's either of those two^
0 hypnotoad Posted July 10, 2016 Not avocado or mango. They started from relatively small seeds in a pretty close proximity to each other. I was thinking either rambutan or a theobroma sp but as they got older they started looking different and were unaffected by the cold and dry. Maybe when that new leaf opens it might look a bit more like a theobroma (I've had seeds for quite a few types). I'll post one out to whoever guesses it and wants one. Totally stumped
0 nothinghead Posted July 11, 2016 Hard to comment on whether it could be a theobroma without knowing anything about your climate. Never grown rambutans so no idea how they look/behave.
0 brooa Posted July 12, 2016 Im pretty sure it looks like a Rambutan. Pretty keen to see how it goes!
