I've read that older spines go white on Cuzco but is this a reliable indicator?

I haven't heard about fuzzy areoles being an Peru identifier before. Here's a pic of my Gnosis Cuzco which has fuzzy areoles, so I don't know what you are referring to?

It´s not a Cuzcoensis. It´s a Peruvianus. Hardly any swollen spine bases and not a cuzco rib structure.

Are you saying that Gnosis is a Peruvianus? Thats news to me, i was always told it was a mislabelled Cuzco.

Mate i think eg is referring to your orginal id picture? The Peru from the opening post.

Your Gnosis looks very Cuzco to me.

depending on a persons definition of older.......older as a few inches down from the tip or older as in near the base of 3 meter plants?
