Flux Posted March 30, 2016 (edited) Ok, first time trying to raise Obtusifolia from seed and about 70 percent germinated BUT they all appear to be elongated and 'skinny' (compared to what I have seen in images online). Is this possibly the result of too much sun or some other factor I have not considered? I am going to re-pot the little guy on the left here (as he seems the healthiest) when I get some soil from around the local Longifolia and Floribunda groves. thanks in advance, Flux Edited March 30, 2016 by Flux

Strontium Dawg Posted March 30, 2016 Yes, nut not too much sunlight. I've killed more obtusi seedlings with too much sun than I'd like to admit. At least these ones are still alive!
Conv3rgence Posted March 30, 2016 I tried germinating in a semi translucent plastic box once, these elongated acacia seedlings all died eventually. However, the others that I germinated in open shade next to mirrors are going strong.
